Our Team

Bad Bella Films was founded by Timea and Kris Shuman.

Our team is spread across the world, united by a shared vision: supporting up-and-coming talent and daring voices who share our passion for authentic storytelling. Together, we craft projects that balance creativity with strategic execution while giving every voice the space to shine.

Kris Shuman

CEO / Producer

Kris is a Georgia-born screenwriter and filmmaker known for bold, character-first dramas exploring the darker corners of Southern life. His work has been recognized by major competitions including PAGE, Big Break, Script Pipeline, and the Nashville Film Festival, drawing comparisons to the existential grit of Nic Pizzolatto (True Detective). A storyteller shaped by recovery and resilience, Kris writes with raw honesty and cinematic intensity. His goal is to bring projects to the screen with authenticity and impact.

Timea Shuman

COO / Producer

Hungarian-born Timea brings sharp creative instincts, vision, and project leadership to Bad Bella Films. With extensive experience across government, education, and the entertainment industry, she specializes in operational strategy and end-to-end project execution. With a keen eye for detail and aesthetics, Timea ensures every project remains true to its heart while reaching its fullest potential. Her role bridges the business and creative sides of production—balancing artistic vision with strategic execution. Her very first work, the 3D animated short The Last Stop—written by her husband, Kris Shuman— marks her debut as both director and producer.
